Much Ado About Nothing - Directed by Anthony Pound at the Beckmann Theater. This was a complete joy to costume design! The actors were unbelievably talented. The original music was so awesome, I’m still humming it. And Anthony’s direction and vision were flawless.
On a super shoe string budget, I managed to costume 16 characters in 7 days. This was my first Shakespeare production… I think I’m hooked.
I’m so excited. I just wrapped a 40’s era film I designed called “Death and the Red Dress”. So much fun and the actors were terrific. More photos to come!

The trailer just came out for Desperate Endeavors, a feature film. Months after the film was shot, the director wanted additional scenes with film star Micheal Madsen, the actor who plays the cab driver. I designed his wardrobe and many of the prostitutes.

Brother and Sister - A Grimm’s Fairytale short film

This was another great project, creatively speaking. In Central Park, we shot Lisa’s version of this lesser known Grimm’s fairytale.
Family - A short film by Guillermo Barreira

It was wonderful working with Spanish director Guillermo Barreira. He has a great imagination. His short is about two contemporary families who are eccentric and like to dress in 18th century clothing that they put together themselves. One family dressed in all red and the other in all black. Super creative challenge that remains one of my favorite projects to this day.

The Enabler is a short film directed by Alyssa Bennett. I am mistakenly credited with hair and makeup instead of costume designer! Oh well, this was my first costume design job, done while still at F.I.T., in 2006. Happily, I’ll be working with Alyssa again at Stonestreet Studios this fall (2011) as resident costume designer for their fall tv pilot/web series, Paragraph 18. Stay tuned!
